Resume For Future Shop

Requiem

digital prints. Am atmosphere of mourning and opera background. Past and future are converging in the parade posthumous Alexander McQueen.

Held in one of the halls of the headquarters of Francois Pinault, McQueen's latest collection was presented to a select group of fashion editors and coordinators. Consisted of 15 looks worked during the months before his death, McQueen aesthetic play continued from previous seasons: a mix of references historical and future, almost academic in stiff brocaded fabric silhouettes and draped. Mohawk hairstyles, some with golden feathers recalling the Roman war helmets, they walked the imagination, angels and freedom, skeletons and death. Red, black, gold and pastels.

If Spring 2010 fashion show showed us the human physical form of the future (the supposed destination of human evolution), today led us to his mind: refined eclectic observer, reminiscent of the origins of culture, the same nostalgia that most of us feel when we think at him. My skin crawled when he saw the pictures of your collection: retro-futurist compositions, baroque and at the same time, high-tech, telling the story of the history of the future, as if the entire civilization was written in the bass and front of the dresses.

say those PPR the brand will continue, as an eternal reminder of the genius and cunning of Alexander McQueen. The truth is that I will never again feel the same.
